Back From Vegas

Friday, March 30th, 2007 -

The last couple weeks have been crazy for me. From shooting a wedding in Cabo then straight to Vegas it has been crazy. Vegas was great. The WPPI convention is always such a blast. This was my first year speaking. I presented with Mark Cafiero. He has a great blog. Sixpeeps.com be sure to check it out. We both wanted to make sure that the photographers that attented our class were blown away. From the feedback we have received we acoomplished just that. We now plan on doing a few one day workshops in the very near future. I belive we are going to kick off the tour in Arizona. I’ll keep you posted.

There were some great parties to attend while in Vegas. One of the first parties we went to was the Blu Domaine party at The Palms. The rented out the suite that had a two lane bowling alley right in the room.
Here is a picture from the party of myself with my two partners in crime. My wife Stephanie and my Rockstar photographer Mandy Marie.
wppijim.jpg

Tuesday was the next party. My good friend Becker had a great party at The Hotel. It was a blast. Becker always has a great turnout at his party.
You can see some of the party pics on his blog. Beckers Blog

So vegas was a big success. I met lots of great people. I always make some great new friends every year in Vegas. I’m looking forward to next year.

I better get back to work!

I’m actually one of the speakers this year. This is my first time doing gsomething like this. So wish me luck. I’m doing a small master class with a great photographer friend of mine based in Colorado. Mark Cafiero

I’m also pumped about my new slideshow that Julie from Elysium Productions put together for me. Julie and her husband Alex run an amazing Video Production company based in Orange county. The have also just started a moning tv show that airs every Sunday on Cox cable. it’s called Wedding Life.
Be sure to check it out.

Here is a sneak peak of my slide show. I hope it works.

I’m off to Vegas!!!!

A wedding in Cabo

Sunday, March 25th, 2007 -

The last 3 days have been such a blast. I’ve been hanging out in Cabo. It’s not to bad when one of my weddings brings me to such a great location. This wedding took place at a small boutique hotel right on the Sea of Cortez. If you are ever in Cabo you have to check it out. Cabo Surf Hotel
Natasha & Chris have been so great. They are so laid back. I love it when my couples just go with the flow. It makes for such a great wedding.
They had such a great turn out for a destination wedding. I think there were at least 140 guests.

Take a look at these beautful flowers.

This couple was so easy going all day. The day just went at it’s own pace. My couples always love how fast i can work. Today was one of those days. I only spent about 3 minutes before the ceremony on any posed images. Then after the ceremony it was about the same. Maybe 10 minutes at most. That’s shooting the couple and all the family portraits. I really love it when the pressure is on for me to come through in a limited amount of time. It really was an amazing day!!

Saturday was a very special wedding to me. I met Alex & Alex at The Turnip Rose. They both work there. Over 2 years ago Alex was talking about how he was planning his wedding 2 years in advance. It seemed so long ago. I was excited that he wanted me to be the photographer for his wedding. They are such a great couple.
I’ve met some great people at The Turnip Rose over the last few years. Many of them of which I call friends. Alex & Alex are 2 of them.
A special ceremony moment of Alex’s father saying a few words.

Alex & Alex thanks again for making me a part of your special day. I know you two have worked with so many photographers. It means so much that you wanted me there. You two are the best.

Well another great wedding on Saturday. We thought there might be some rain. It turned out to be a beautiful day.
These two were a lot of fun. They wanted to see each other before the ceremony so we got to run around downtown Laguna before the ceremony.
First stop the hotel. She was just finishing up some final touches.
buccola_0427.jpg
We started off with the bride and her father getting into a classic packard.
The Packard was provided by Randy of Lake Forest Limousine’s. Randy is such a great guy. He has some great party buses in addition to the classic cars. Be sure to look him up for any transportation needs.
buccola_0523.jpg
Next stop Laguna Beach to see the groom for the first time.
Here she comes.

The DJ was Steve from Invisible Touch. He is always great to work with. Aside from the music he did a beautiful job on lighting. It looked amazing.
I have to also mention the staff at The Surf & Sand. They were great as always. It’s so great that I get to shoot there often. It’s such a great property with an amazing staff.
