Yesterday was a day I’ve been looking forward to for sometime. Stephanie and I got to attend and photograph our best friend and one of my studios star photograher Amanda’s wedding. Amanda has become such a close friend to Stephanie and I over the years. We consider her family. She calls us her California family. It was such an amazing wedding. It was a very small event. I believe there were about 25 people total. It was one of the most emotional weddings I’ve ever been a part of. It was a full day of tears and laughs. It was a roller coaster ride of amazing emotion all day. Everybody shed tears. Including Stephanie and myself. We were a mess. I loved it!!! It is always so great to see a couple so happy and full of love on their wedding day. Besides the love between Amanda and Read. The love that both of their families have is so amazing. It was such a blessing for Stephanie and I to be a part of it.
Amanda and Stephanie worked together on so many details of the day. The went fabric shopping together for her amazing dress that Stephanie made for her. The went feather shopping to pick out amazing feathers for her shoes, her bouquet and more.
Check out these cool shoes

Her cute dress.

Check out this feather bouquet. We are going to start selling these in our dress shop. Feathers are a great alternative to doing a flower bouquet if a bride is looking to do something different.

Amanda got Read an amazing pocket watch for a gift.

Amanda picked the famous Don Johnson to conduct the ceremony. A very good choice. Don married Stephanie and I 3 years ago.
Here he is giving Read some words of wisdom.

Another great use of feathers.

Time to get Amanda in her dress. She was so excited. Stephanie and Amanda’s mother helped her get into the dress.

How cute is she!

More use of feathers. Stephanie made this great feather hair piece.

Amanda needed a minute to study her vows.

She looked so amazing. Amanda had this glow about her all day. She had Carina of Flawless Faces Inc. do the makeup. Carina always does an amazing job.

Time to see each other.
Read was also all smiles. He knew he was going to marry an amazing woman today.

Amanda had the tears going all day. Which in turn made everybody else break out the tears also.

I love her face on this shot.

Read was looking sharp.

They are so great together.

The grooms mothers first sight of the couple.

Amanda’s crying again. The feather in front of the face was a sure sign of tears.

We got so many great candid shots. I was loving all these great moments.

Read and his amazing mother.

Here is Amanda’s parents. They are so much fun. It was so great for us to get to hangout and get to know Amanda’s parents.

Reads grandpa was also a great guy. Here come some more tears from Amanda.

It was also great to get to hang out with Reads family. They are a fun group. I hope to get to spend more time with them in the future.

Ceremony time. Don Johnson did such an amazing job. It was a great emotional ride.

So much great emotion

Amanda’s dad was also very emotional watching his baby girl get married. If somebody was taking a picture of me during the ceremony they would have seen the same tears.

They are now husband and wife!!!!!!!

We had to get a shot with the bride and groom.

I love these two together. Stephanie and Amanda are always cracking each other up.

We had a few minutes to grab a couple bride and groom shots before dinner.

During dinner and drinks there were more laughs and tears. There were some of the most amazing toasts given throughout the night.

I love this woman’s smile. OH YA that’s my wife.

Time to call it a night.

I could have kept posting more images. This is already a very long post. I had to stop. There was just so many great moments. It was so great to be a guest and a photographer at the same time.
Amanda & Read I wish you an amazing life together.

ALi & Rich Jamaica Wedding |

Much of the week before the wedding was raining. We were very happy to see a beautiful sunny day for the wedding. The only thing we had to battle this day was the heat. This was not your typical destination wedding. It was more like a hometown wedding for Ali. Since she grew up in Jamaica. The ceremony took place at a local church and the reception was at a beautiful property called laughing waters. Many of the guests at the wedding actually lived in Jamaica.
I just love that beautiful blue water.

Ali was so excited all day. I loved it. Here she is when she first put on her dress.

We had to race to make it to the ceremony in time.

Ali first seeing her father.

Arriving at the church

The proud parents

Rich with his mother

Ali has such a great family.

Mother of the groom having some fun.

Everybody was just cracking up all day

Well I spent last week hanging out in Jamaica with this great couple. I just returned home last night. So I wanted to get a few images blogged asap. We decided to do a fun shoot the day before the wedding. They had access to the beautiful private estate called Rio Chico. So we decided to start off there for a few shots. This property is actually owned by the owner of The Sandals Resorts. t is such a beautiful property. We actually made another stop here the day of the wedding.

You knew we would end up in the water.

Check out these moves.

They were having a blast!

Ali decided to take a break

There will be more images to come very soon.

Well Monday night I had to fly out to Jamaica for a wedding I’m shooting here on Saturday. I was able to squeeze in an engagement session just before I headed to the airport. These two are getting married in Hawaii in May. I can’t wait. We started this shoot out where Eric popped the question. The Huntington Beach Hyatt. Then we headed to the beach.

This is the spot of the proposal.

Look at all the fun my couples have

Eric couldn’t stop laughing

It was such great weather on Sunday and Monday I was excited to get to hangout at the beach doing engagement sessions. Sunday was a blast with Kathleen & Renzo. It was perfect weather to jump in the ocean.
I like to start off with a couple safe shots.

Enough of the safe shots.

They were having a blast.

This doesn’t look good. They better hold their breath.

I had to put this shot. They are under this wave somewhere. I hope they don’t hate me after they make it up for air.

I love the look on Renzo’s face after just getting rolled by that wave.
