Welcome to my life. I'm so excited to be able to share stories of all the great people I get to photograph every week. I will also be able to share a
little of my personal life as well. Not only will I be sharing with you my stories but also a little about the great team of photographers that have partnered
up with my studio and the people they photograph. I feel so privileged to call them Jim Kennedy Photographers.
We all love what we do for a living. They say that once you find what you love to do you'll never work another day in your life. That sums up my life exactly. Welcome to my world.

This was such an amazing day for a wedding. It was like a beautiful summer day in January.
Another bonus of the day was getting to see some of my past couples at the wedding. Also getting to work with Lisa Moon Events.
Also seeing Carina from Flawless Faces making all the girls flawless always makes me happy.
Fullerton/Back Bay Newport Beach Engagement Session(Robyn & Trevor) |
You can’t beat starting off an engagement session at a wine bar in downtown Fullerton. From there we headed to the train station. SInce it was such a beautiful day we headed down to the Back Bay in Newport Beach to finish off the shoot.

It was fun to start 2012 off at one of my favorite Orange County Venues. Always love workign at Nixon. Also having Ashly from Agape Planning running the show for the day is also a big plus. Great job Ashley keeping the day on track. Avi also had Carina from Flawless Faces getting her ready for her big day. Another great start to the day. We had great weather for an outdoor ceremony in January. Perfect day for a wedding.
San Juan Capistrano Engagement Session (Tim & Ashlee) |
This was another super fun engagement session in San Juan Capistrano. We started at The Mission then wandered around San Juan. I was really looking forward to this session. I first met TIm while shooting a wedding back in 2010. Tim is one of my favorite DJ’s. He is not only an amazing DJ but he also plays the electric violin. Which is one of the most amazing things I have ever heard at a wedding. I was so excited when I heard Tim was engaged and even more excited when he asked me to shoot his wedding. After meeting his fiancee Ashlee at a wedding Tim and I where working together on at The RIviera back in November I was even more excited. After seeing how great they are together I knew I was going to have so much fun photographing them. Can’t wait for the wedding.

Riviera Resort Wedding Palm Springs (Kelly & Brian) |
This wedding couldn’t get her fast enough. The day I heard that Kelly was engaged I was so happy for her. I’ve know Kelly for a little while now. Kelly works at The St. Regis. So I’ve worked on many weddings with her over the last couple years. I knew right away that I wanted to be a part of it. So I was so excited to be asked to be a part of this wedding. Also knowing that Kelly would have such a great team of vendors who are also friends of mine made it even that much better.
I have to list the amazing team she had. First of all I was so excited to be shooting it. But also that I got to shoot it with Lauren Hillary one of the JKP team. Lauren and I love shooting together. So getting to shoot with Lauren who is not only one of my team but a great friend made it that much more fun. We loved every minute of it.

Ceremony and Reception Music done by Tim Espinozsa  and his amazing Electric Violin. You can book him through Invisible Touch. Tim and his violin should be at every wedding. Tim also does a great job as the reception Dj.
Getting Kelly beautiful for her big day was the great team from Design Visage.
Video was done by one of my favorites Zach & Rob with Elman Adam Films. These guys do such amazing work.
Also her officiant Rich Anderson really made it a special ceremony.
Plus working with the staff at The Riviera was such a pleasure. Everyone was so great to work with. The Riviera Resort in Palm Springs should for sure be on your list of locations to check out for your wedding.
She had such a great team working for her on her day I really wanted to mention them all.
It was amazing how great the weather also turned out for their day. A week ago everybody was worried that it might be to cold for an outdoor reception. That sure proved to be wrong. It was so beautiful outside. It wasn’t cold at all.
Kelly and Brian are just the perfect couple. Their family and friends were the best. Lauren and I had a blast photographing them all day. Especially at The Riviera. So many super cool backdrops for photos.
