Here at Jim Kennedy Photographers our passion is wedding photography. We pride ourselves on capturing priceless and organic moments as they happen. We feel so privileged every time a couple chooses us to photograph and capture their special day. It is our purpose to give our clients amazing photographs, while also making sure they enjoy every minute of their wedding day.

JIM

If I was a super hero what powers would I have?

With all my traveling it would have to be Superman's power to fly. How amazing would it be to avoid those super long flights!?

What is my favorite thing about my career? 

It's always been the amount of amazing people I meet throughout the years. People always ask me if I get tired of photographing all of these weddings but the fact is I don't. I am so incredibly lucky I to be involved in such a special day, it's been such a gift in my life. 

What is something about you that most people don't know?

I'm a big softie. I could be listening to a dad give a speech about his daughter at a wedding and I will be hiding behind my camera tearing up. I can't even get through telling people about one of my experiences while traveling the world without breaking down. It actually makes me smile every time I tear up, I'm like "here you go again Jim." 

CHERYL

What is your favorite thing about your career?

I would have to be a little cliche and say the clients. I love constantly meeting new people and building relationships with them. To be able to capture such personal and pivotal moments in someone’s life is a pretty incredible feeling. 

What is the most usual thing I have ever eaten?

It would have to be a fried stinkbug while traveling in Vietnam. It was actually pretty good! It tasted like burnt popcorn.

What motivates you to work hard?

My good ol’ fashioned midwest values, and my strive for perfection. I always think I can do better, and am constantly pushing myself artistically.

MEGAN

If you could share a meal with any 4 individuals, living or dead, who would they be?

I would have to choose FDR, Justin Timberlake, Tina Fey and Martin Luther King Jr. It would definitely be one of the most epic dinner parties imaginable. I imagine I would ask FDR way too many questions, request Justin Timberlake to serenade me, crack up at all of Tina Fey's jokes and be absolutely inspired by MLK! 

What is your favorite thing about your career?

My favorite thing has got to be knowing that I'm relied on to capture such beautiful moments during the most important stages of life. Having that feeling of being entrusted with such responsibility is something that I absolutely love about my career. 

What’s your favorite movie?

Nothing will ever beat the amazingness that is Forrest Gump!

KRISTEN

Who is your hero?

My hero is my son Wrigley. He has saved my life over and over again and show's me the world from innocent eyes. He's my son, my hero, my best friend and my entire family. He keeps me strong and teaches me to never give up.

What is your favorite thing about your career?

Love. I'm madly head over heels in love with love. Watching people who genuinely love each other never gets old and being able to capture those memories is amazing. I get goosebumps during every single "i do". I also love making people fall in love with themselves and see themselves as the beauty they are. 

 If you could join any past or current music group which would you want to join?

Who wouldn't want a piece of The Beatle's success?!
